Who are we?

Slow Food Sonoma Valley is one of 225 Slow Food USA chapters which in turn are part of a global, grassroots organization aimed at connecting the pleasure of food with a commitment to community and the environment. Founded in 1989 as a reaction to the rise of fast food and fast life, the Slow Food movement now has more than 100,000 members in 1,300 chapters worldwide. Learn more...


Collaboration Creates Junior Cheesemaker’s Course 

Slow Food Sonoma Valley (SFSV) and Cittaslow (CS) have designed a collaborative pilot project aligned with the organizations’ mission statements—expanding the education of good, clean, fair food and preserving the culture and ecology of small communities and farming. Sonoma Valley is the ideal venue for this. Read more about how the two organizations are encouraging future generations to embrace traditions of local farming and food production.
